Charging Order Protections

As a judgment creditor’s exclusive remedy, a charging order may be placed on a debtor-partner’s partnership interest charging that interest with payment of any unsatisfied debts with interest.  This charging order constitutes a lien on the debtor-partner’s transferable interest.  To see this Act, click here.

Under the Kansas Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act, a judgment creditor may charge the debtor-partner’s partnership with payment of any unsatisfied debt with interest.  The judgment creditor has only the rights of an assignee of the debtor-partner’s transferable interest.  To see this section of the Act, click here.
