A married woman may insure the life of her husband; if she survives him and receives any insurance proceeds on his life, these proceeds will be exempt. To see this statute, please click here. An unmarried woman may insure the life and health of her father or brother and, in the event they predecease her, the proceeds will be treated as if she were a married woman insuring her husband.
