We didn’t think we could top the agenda and speaker list from last year, but we think we have with this year’s Forum.

Below you will see exciting list of timely topics that will be discussed in detail at the Forum by some of the brightest minds in the industry.  This year’s agenda has very powerful topics such as Pension Rescue under the new laws, two sessions on Captive Insurance Companies, new developments with Qualified Plans (including the unique “Superflex” program), and what every affluent client should have which is the “Family Office” structure.

Additionally, everyone seems to be interested in “Advanced” College Planning which will also be covered.

We are also proud to have Guy Baker (incoming President of MDRT) who will be speaking on the useful and new “Capital Split Dollar Plan.”

And finally, because it was requested after last year’s forum, we have added on more practical case studies at the conclusion of day two of Forum.

We had in excess of 150 at last year’s Forum and we are looking to exceed that in 2008.  We know it’s tough to take 2-3 days out of your schedule to attend a seminar, but this is one you really do not want to miss.

Bring a client or referral source

The APS™ Forum is unique in several ways.  Besides the unique topics covered, the seminar was built for you to bring your best clients and or referral source.  This is your opportunity to not only learn great topics from terrific speakers, but this is your opportunity to impress upon your best client that there are other planning techniques they need to consider to protect and grow their wealth.  Last year we had over 20 clients out of the 150+ attendees.

We do not talk about commissions or generating fee based revenue.  The seminar is pure practical education on important and timely topics.

We recommend that advisors bring both one client and one referral source (for example, if you are an insurance or financial planner, you should bring the CPA you’ve been trying to get you to refer clients to).

We consider the APS™ a close-knit community and when you are part of the society, you can say with confidence to your clients and referral sources that the speakers who speak at the Forum are part of your team of trusted advisors who can be used to help clients when they need help with case design, legal work or whatever.

One-on-one time with the speakers

Like last year’s forum, we have again designed it and set aside time for the attendees to meet one-on-one with the speakers. Again, we encourage any attendee to bring at least one guest with them. Every advisor has a favorite client or referral source or those clients that they have been trying to work with or explain a plan to and have been unable to get that client to understand what they are talking about; or, maybe they have some needs that you, as an advisor, are unsure how to address, well, this is the perfect opportunity to bring that client along and show them what the APS™ is all about, who is on your team as an APS™ member, and learn about the topics you have been discussing with them.

Some of the speakers charge an hourly rate of $400 or more for their time. At the Forum you have their time for free (except the minimal cost to attend), and we encourage you to use their time by picking their brains when talking about how you can best help your clients.
